Graduate Assistantship

The Department of Health and Kinesiology does offer graduate assistantships for students in our graduate programs. Teaching opportunities exist within the Physical Activity Program, the laboratory portion of Human Anatomy and Physiology, Healthful Living, and Clinical Instruction in Athletic Training. A few graduate assistantship positions involve university health education or combine teaching with research, sports medicine or strength training responsibilities. Stipends are also provided for work opportunities with various agencies and as part of Grants and Contracts. Graduate assistants are paid a stipend of approximately $6,500 for fall and spring semesters. Graduate assistants must pay all appropriate fees, including a reduced matriculation fee, a technology fee, a university health fee, an activity fee, RAC fees, an athletic fee and a transit fee.
