Undergraduate Program
Program Description
The major in Health and Physical Education in conjunction with the College of Education prepares the student to become a health and physical educator in a traditional school setting. Students learn how to plan and implement the P-12 curriculum for Health and Physical Education. This program consists of 125 semester credits and is designed to be completed in four years.
Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the curriculum, Health and Physical Education majors will:
- Demonstrate effective teaching skills.
- Have an understanding of human movement and be skillful movers.
- Have a working knowledge of health and kinesiology content.
- Value student learning as a primary purpose of teaching.
